Japanese Maple

and the new patio

The patio was finally completed this past January, and I've been slowly creating a border.
Due to the local deer, this border consists of rosemary, iris, blue fescue, agapanthus and verbena. I've also planted two rockrose, but may find the deer will munch the blooms.
They enjoyed my Rose of Sharon, which now resides on the deck. At least they've kept away from the deck... so far!

Some beautiful gifts!

Hydrangea and Freesia

My 'bestest' friend while growing up came by for a visit, bringing these lovely plants. I've already repotted the hydrangea into a larger container, while the freesia is still atop my dining room table scenting the room.

Canna

Another gift from a friend.
This specimin has not bloomed since I've owned it.
Note to me: Look this problem up. Probably needs more fertilizer?

Unknown Succulent

Sedum?
Both this plant and it's container given by a friend.
All my cacti and succulents are moved inside just before winter, and grown in a bump-out garden window.

Roma Tomatoes

Playing with MicroSoft software, and tried using "watercolor." Looks better in the large size. Oh well...

Timber!

'Quercus Kelloggii'
Died and cut down in May 2005. Too bad, it was a beauty!
